Georgia to accelerate border delimitation process with Baku

Georgia and Azerbaijan have agreed to accelerate the process of delimiting and demarcating their shared border.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze made the remarks while speaking to journalists.

He said the issue was discussed both at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission and during a bilateral meeting.

"We expressed our hope that work on this process would proceed very quickly. As you know, our position on this issue remains unchanged. We need to see progress. This is our request and appeal to Azerbaijan, and we received a very sincere response to it. Together with our Azerbaijani friends, we aim to achieve progress in areas where no progress has been made so far," he added.
