Iranian newspaper has apologized Azerbaijan -

Iranian newspaper "Hamshahri" has apologized Azerbaijani nation for distorting national identity and history of Urmiya city.

Axar.az reports citing South Azerbaijan National Liberation Front that, text reflecting apology from Azebaijani people was published today.

Notably, article named "Peace at Northern West" was published in "Hamshahri" newspaper on 11 of February. Author of article Zahra Khalajy has faked history by calling Urmiya Armenian - Kurdish city and told that Turkic people are minority in this city.Article caused great protest of Southern Azerbaijani people. Beside people, MPs of Urmiya have also asked newspaper for an apology.
