The regulation " On military service” relating to conscription can be reconsidered due to continuing of the discussions on the transition to a 12-year general education system in the Ministry of Education and if in case of amendments to the legislation in this field in the future.

The chief of General Department of military training and military education of the Defense Ministry, Colonel Murad Hamidov said in response to the request of local media.

Notably, the issues relating to the structure and content of 12-year general education are being discussed in the Ministry of Education.

The director of the Institute of Education Issues, Gulu Novruzov said that the amendments will be made to the legislation regarding the 12-year education.
