When one thinks of the Adult film industry, you don’t necessarily think “future politician”. However, you’d be surprised by just how many former Porn Stars have given it a go at political career. I guess with all the political sex scandals these days, why wouldn’t it ok for a former adult star to throw their hat in the ring? Here is a list of ten adult film stars turned politicians.

1.STORMY DANIELS

An American porn star, she formed an exploratory committee in 2009 for a possible run in the 2010 Louisiana Senate race. On July 28, 2009, her campaign manager was the target of a car bomb attack. She would ultimately pull out of the race on April 15, 2010.

2. NIKKI BENZ

An Ukranian-Canadian porn star. In 2014, she announced her candidacy for mayor of Toronto. Unfortunately, she was not accepted as a candidate for failure to provide a current driver’s license.

3.NORA BAUMBERGER

A Czech-born porn star, best known by her stage name Dolly Buster. She ran for European Parliament in 2004 as a candidate of a minority Czech political party.

4.EMILIA CUCCINIELLO

An Italian porn star, best known by her stage name Milly D’Abbraccio. In 2008, she took part in the Rome City Council elections as a candidate of the Socialist Party. In 2011, she took part in local elections for Mayor of Monza as a candidate from a local party called Forza Monza

5. MELODY DAMAYO

Best known by her stage name, Mimi Miyagi. She took part in the 2006 gubernatorial election under the Republican Party. After defeat in the primaries, she changed parties, joining the Libertarian Party. Aside from her adult film career she is also famous for her Humanitarian work helping underprivileged children in the Philippines.
