The State Agency for Vocational Education will be created in Azerbaijan, Nigar Ismayilzade, head of the basic vocational education sector of the Education Ministry, told reporters on Apr. 16.
Ismayilzade said the creation of the State Agency is aimed at applying modern management models, reforming the country’s vocational education system and ensuring flexible management in this field.
“Work is underway for changing the management model in vocational education and the models of Singapore, Korea, Finland and Germany are being studied in this regard,” she said.
According to her, specialties are currently being optimized in vocational education institutions. “Vocational schools will be provided with dormitories in the near future,” she added.
At present, there are 114 first-vocational institutions operating under the Ministry of Education, she noted.
