Presıdent of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the newly-reconstructed Lokbatan-Gobu highway in Garadagh district.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerbaijan Highway State Agency Saleh Mammadov informed President Ilham Aliyev of the technical indicators of the project. The 25km-long road is 6m in width. The length of the Lokbatan-Gobu highway, which links two settlements with a total population of 47,000 people, is more than 7km. The width of the road is 11m.

The renovation of the 11.5km section of the Gobu-Hokmali highway and the construction of the 700m-long road to the newly-built Gobu Park residential complex for IDPs was also completed.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road.
