MENR will prepare proposals for recycling of plastic waste

" Azerbaijan produces plastic containers and polyethylene bags. Unfortunately, although these products are manufactured in our country, they are not being recycled”.

Axar.az informs, Sector Director of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Adil Zeynalov said.

According to him, plastic recycling and re-production mechanism of plastic wastes has not been established in Azerbaijan: "Plastic containers and bags are not reproduced and their number is growing steadily. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources will prepare proposals on this issue in the near future”.
