From April 25 to 27, the Azerbaijani Navy held the command and staff exercises “The planning and performing of combat operations and management of forces to prevent threats and aggressions aimed against the country’s territorial integrity, maritime energy infrastructure and free shipping,” the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told on Thursday.

The drills focused on the planning of joint actions for the protection of energy infrastructure in the Caspian operation zone, maintenance of coordination between headquarters at varying levels, building of interaction, carrying out a joint fight against terrorist-sabotage groups.
