UNHCR representatives visited Aghdam

A delegation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Azerbaijan Office led by representative Alexander Novikau visit Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district.

The visit aims to meet with representatives of local authorities and get information about humanitarian needs of the people temporarily displaced because of the recent incidents on the contact line.

The delegation first met with Head of Aghdam district executive authority Ragub Mammadov. Then they visited IDP families affected by Armenian violence.

The delegation is also expected to visit Berde, Goranboy districts. During the visit, they will meet with representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Agency for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Areas, Defense Ministry and the National Agency for Mine Action
