"The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Montenegro increased in 2018, but the current situation does not reflect the potential of the two countries," Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Co-chair of the Joint Commission on economic cooperation between the two countries Sahil Babayev said at the Azerbaijan-Montenegro business forum.

Axa.az reports that the event was also attended by Montenegro’s Prime Minister Dusko Markovic.

"More than 150 companies are taking part in today’s event. They are discussing investments. Montenegro can play a significant role for Azerbaijan to enter the markets of the Balkan states, and Azerbaijan for Montenegro to have access to the markets of the CIS countries," Babayev said.
