Minister Abulfas Garayev, who is in Paris to attend the 22nd session of the General Assembly of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, met with UNESCO Director General Odre Azuley.

Axar.az informs that, the results of the 5th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue organized under the Baku Process, the 43rd Session and Results of the World Heritage Committee in Baku, the VII Baku International Humanitarian Forum 2020 and 2021 The sides exchanged views on the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, the activities of Azerbaijan in the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage, and the project to support the restoration of the historical and cultural heritage of Mosul in Iraq.

Ms. Odre Azuley thanked Abulfas Garayev for the high level organization of the 43rd Session of the World Heritage Committee. The Director General said that he was impressed with the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva during her first visit to Azerbaijan.

In his turn, Abulfas Garayev noted the importance of the Forum of Culture Ministers held at UNESCO headquarters on November 19 this year, noting that the format of the forum is supported by our country.

The Minister thanked Baku for joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and noted that a number of works have been done in this regard.
