The population of Azerbaijan increased

Azerbaijani population increased 112,600 people or 1.2% to 9,705,600.

According to State Statistical Committee, the population density made 112 people per km². Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,007 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages, 49.8% are men, 50.2% women.

In 2015, 166,200 babies were born in the country, including 53.2% boys and 46.8% girls.

54,700 deaths were recorded in 2015.
