In coming days, there will be enough alcohol at retail and favorable conditions for the production of masks.

Axar.az reports that, according to the Operative Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, the shortage of alcohol and masks in the country is due to the short-term increase in demand for these products, both in the world and at home.

Currently, mask manufacturers around the world work 24 hours a day, but have difficulty meeting demand.

In previous years, 500,000-600,000 masks were sold in our country per month, but now so many masks are sold for 3 days. In 2018-19, about 5-6 million masks were sold per year, while in the last month alone this figure was 3.5 million.

In order to make effective use of the mask resources in the country, doctors and patients, police, the Ministry of Defense, the border service and customs officers are provided and sent to pharmacies for sale.

About 150,000-200,000 masks are distributed and sold across the country every day.
