The term of office of the chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Elman Rustamov expires this month.

Axar.az reports that the last time the Milli Majlis approved E. Rustamov for this position was on April 3, 2015, for a period of 5 years.

On April 9, 2015, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on this appointment.
