Axar.az reports that the statement came from President Ilham Aliyev while addressing the opening ceremony of a medical mask production plant established by Baku Textile Factory LLC in Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park together with First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.

The President noted that my call to entrepreneurs, my unequivocal demand, is already known to everyone that no cuts can be made during this period:

"But we must also create opportunities for entrepreneurs so that they do not suffer. Azerbaijan will finance 600,000 workers, including individual entrepreneurs, at the expense of the state. The state has taken over a significant part of their salaries, and these payments are already beginning. In particular, the problems of students, the amount of benefits for the unemployed - all this is taken into account, and 2.5 billion manats are allocated for this purpose. This is a very large number. I want to say again that our oil revenues have decreased, but the health, safety, comfort, and well-being of the people are above all for us. We demonstrate this once again. I once again call on all citizens of Azerbaijan: Be responsible, do not violate discipline, protect yourself, your children and relatives, so that we can get out of this difficult situation with minimal losses! We are strong together!”
