Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) on Tuesday released a report on the UXOs discovered in the Fuzuli, Aghjabedi, Aghdam, and Terter districts, ANAMA told.

In the territories of Fuzuli, Aghjabedi, Aghdam, and Terter, 5 houses and yards, 6 sown areas, 19 explosion sites were inspected. As a result, 2 UXOs were found and an area of 31,171 square meters was cleared.

In the districts of Zardab, Terter, Aghjabedi, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Goranboy, Tovuz, Samukh, Shamkir, Jalilabad, Ujar, and in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, and Mingachevir from 7 April to 31 May 2016, the areas of 548 houses, 2 military units, 2 village cemetery, 4 rural secondary schools, 1 medical center, 21 farms, corn fields and 1 wine factory were inspected.

As a result, 1,479 unexploded ordinances, 11 anti-pedestrian mines (PMN), 2 POMZ-2 anti-pedestrian mines, 6 anti-tank mines were discovered and defused.
