Kazakhstan asked Russia for doctors

Doctors and humanitarian aid will be sent to Kazakhstan from Russia's Astrakhan region to support the fight against the coronavirus.

Axar.az informs that, the statement came from Governor Igor Babushkin.

According to him, the lack of doctors to fight the coronavirus has become a major problem in the region:

"Especially in this area, we need an infectious disease specialist, resuscitator, anesthesiologist, epidemiologist, pulmonologist, and these are limited areas. Five experienced doctors will go to Kazakhstan."

The governor noted that Kazakhstan covered the salaries of doctors, accommodation and travel expenses.
