The Azerbaijani Army has proved its superiority on the battlefield. Most of the occupied territories were liberated within a month.

Axar.az informs that the statement came from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Russia's Interfax news agency.

"Given that the Armenian side has been building fortified areas in the occupied territories for about 30 years, there were several lines of defense there. The relief of the area is also more favorable for the Armenian side, because it is a mountainous area, and our servicemen had to name both engineering facilities and the mountainous terrain when conducting counter-offensive operations. Therefore, taking into account all these factors, a large part of the territory of our country was liberated within a month, which shows that the Azerbaijani Army is considered one of the best combat armies in the world. According to the rankings published periodically by the agencies involved in assessing the military potential of countries, the Azerbaijani Army is among the top 50 armies in the world. Both professionalism, training and combat capability, and most importantly, the morale of the fighting, and, of course, the technical equipment of the Azerbaijani Army, have contributed to our success in many ways. We have liberated the cities of Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli and part of the Khojavend region. The successful activity and successful progress of the Azerbaijani Army continues. During this month, I have repeatedly said that we want the settlement of this conflict to move from the military to the political stage. However, unfortunately, the Armenian side is violating the ceasefire for the third time, trying to re-occupy the territories we liberated, and directing the confrontation. Therefore, I answer your question again - military-political settlement is the only possible way. We would like the military phase to end behind the negotiating table, and the issues of further liberation of Azerbaijani territories to be resolved," Ilham Aliyev said.
