Today Lachin is handed over to Azerbaijan

Today, the Lachin region is handed over to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

Axar.az reports that from today, the Lachin region will be under the control of Azerbaijan.

Lachin region was occupied by the Armenian army on May 18, 1992. As a result of the Armenian occupation in 1992, 264 people were killed, 65 were taken hostage and 103 were disabled.

The occupation caused $ 7.1 billion in damage to the region. 65,507 people have been displaced in 59 cities and regions of Azerbaijan and 84 villages in the Takhta-Korpu winter camps.
