226 new COVID-19 cases have been registered

226 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan over the past day, and 601 people have been treated.

Axar.az reports citing the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Five people died of COVID-19 on the last day.

So far, a total of 229,584 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the country, of which 221,717 have been treated and 3,105 have died. There are currently 4,762 active patients.

During the last day, 7,458 tests were performed to detect new infections, and a total of 2,380,074 tests have been performed so far.
