Relations between our countries have a long history. Pakistan is one of the few countries in the world that does not have diplomatic relations with Armenia and has not officially recognized Armenia due to the occupation of Azerbaijani lands.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from President Ilham Aliyev while receiving a delegation led by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Nadim Raza in a video format on March 3.

"Our people are aware of this and we appreciate it very much. Azerbaijan, in turn, has always supported Pakistan in all other issues, including the Kashmir issue. This support is provided by us at the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international institutions," Aliyev said.
