President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Gelleh.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the President's press service.

The letter reads:

"Dear Mr. President,

I sincerely congratulate you on your re-election as President of the Republic of Djibouti.

Azerbaijan and Djibouti are united by traditional ties of friendship and cooperation. I remember with fond memories your visit to Azerbaijan to attend the XVIII Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Baku and our meeting with you.

I am confident that we will continue to make joint efforts to further expand Azerbaijan-Djibouti relations and to continue our cooperation based on mutual trust and support, both bilaterally and within international institutions.

I wish you good health, happiness and success in your activities for the welfare of the friendly people of Djibouti."
