Azerbaijani civilian stepped on mine in Aghdam

Azerbaijani civilian, Arif Guliyev, a shepherd, stepped on a mine in the Aghdam region on April 17 at around 8 pm, as a result of which his left leg was amputated.

Axar.az reports that A. Guliyev was taken to Agjabadi district hospital and is under medical supervision.

Police Colonel Ehsan Zahidov, spokesman for the Interior Ministry, said that in view of all this, citizens should not go to unauthorized areas outside the checkpoints, but not completely cleared of mines.

"In this case, they may face such tragic situations," he said.
