President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Republic Day.

"Dear Ilham Heydar oglu.

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your national holiday - Republic Day.

Azerbaijan has achieved significant success in socio-economic, scientific-technical and other fields. Your country has gained a high reputation in the world arena and plays an active role in addressing many important issues on the international agenda.

We appreciate the relations with Azerbaijan based on the traditions of good friendship and mutual respect.
