The first meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Framework Document regarding the Sustainable Development Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations has been held under the co-chairmanship of the Minister of the Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Gulam Isakzai.

Axar.az reports it has been noted in the meeting that being an important tool in the financing of SDGs in our country, the Framework document will create favourable conditions for the conducted reforms and implementation of the projects in the direction of realizing national priorities.

UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Gulam Isakza has noted that the organization will continue its support to Azerbaijan to eliminate socio-economic difficulties due to pandemics and restoration of the liberated territories from the occupation, the country will continue to contribute to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
