Axar.az reports that the statement came from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

"The number of Azerbaijani students studying in Russia is more than 15,000. In Azerbaijan, 16,000 students study in the Russian language department. Thus, such a large group of Azerbaijani youth is already connected with Russia through language, communication and education. I think it is very important to pass our experience to the younger generation," Ilham Aliyev said.
