Areas requiring a COVID-19 passport will be expanded

Vaccines used in our country are completely safe.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Shahmar Movsumov, Aide to the President of Azerbaijan on economic issues, at a briefing at the Operations Headquarters today.

He noted that 99 per cent of those who died of the coronavirus from the beginning of the vaccination process to date have not been vaccinated:

Shahmar Movsumov added that the requirement to be vaccinated at gyms and weddings will be expanded from September 1:

"COVID passports will be required at the entrance to public catering establishments, hotels and large shopping centers. At the next stage, the decision will apply to cinemas and theatres. The ASAN Service is developing software to check vaccine passports, which will quickly check vaccine passports on mobile phones."
