In accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the relevant firefighting forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan are sent to the Republic of Turkey in order to extinguish forest fires and prevent their further expansion.

Axar.az reports that 500 personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, helicopters, as well as other necessary equipment and supplies are being sent to Turkey.

At least four people were killed in 63 forest fires in 21 provinces of Turkey on July 28 and 29. Fires are still burning in some areas.
