Azerbaijani MES is fighting the fire in Marmaris

Members of the first group of firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) sent to the brotherly country on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to extinguish and prevent forest fires in Turkey are fighting a fire at a crisis point 11 kilometers from Marmaris, Mugla province.

Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijani fire brigade started working at the checkpoint on August 1 at 10:00 Baku time together with local forces. The fires started on July 28.

Members of the 100-member team of professional and experienced firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are using every opportunity to prevent the spread of fire in the crisis area.

It should be noted that, on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the first group of 100 firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations left for Turkey on July 30. Yesterday evening, another fire and rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was sent to the brotherly country. The second group includes 1 helicopter, 53 fire and special rescue equipment, 1 ambulance, 220 firefighters and rescuers.
