A delegation of the Azerbaijani Parliament participated in the September 17-19 elections to the Russian State Duma with an observation mission.

Axar.az informs that Nizami Safarov, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, who is visiting Moscow as part of the Azerbaijani observation mission, said that delegations from 55 countries and 10 international organizations participated in the Russian State Duma elections as observers.

"Azerbaijani observers carried out their missions in the Moscow region and Moscow. Our delegation met with the leadership of the Russian State Duma and the Federation Council. Our mission had the opportunity to observe in the Moscow region in video mode. Let me note that the digital video surveillance system was applied both in the Moscow region and in Moscow. In addition, we have conducted observations in a number of polling stations and our mission will present the results of its observations in the near future, "Safarov said.

He reminded that in accordance with the requirements of Russian law, an opinion on the election process can be submitted only after the voting.
