Peychinovich: Baku and Yerevan must strengthen mutual trust

Measures should be taken to strengthen mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Council of Europe Secretary General Maria Pejcinovic during the PACE autumn session.

According to him, the Council of Europe has begun to take measures to strengthen mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Armenia:

"Measures to strengthen mutual trust are important and play an important role in the post-conflict period. However, this is possible only with the consent of both parties."

He also touched on the role of women in this issue: "For this purpose, it is expedient to discuss issues that are far from politics. The role of women is one of the most advisable topics."
