Warning from the Prosecutor's Office

The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has launched an investigation into the sharing of untrue information by some media outlets and social network users in connection with the armed provocation committed by Armenia on November 15 and 16, 2021 in the border areas with Kalbajar and Lachin regions.

Axar.az informs that this was reported to by the Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

It was established that 4 people - Ziyatay Muradov, Agil Alakbarov, Mehman Suleymanov and Nadir Valiyev - shared inaccurate information on social networks about the incidents, which could cause public concern, did not refer to official sources and created artificial agitation.

On the basis of materials collected about Ziyatay Muradov in the Office of Non-Criminal Prosecutions of the Prosecutor General's Office Agil Alakbarov, Mehman Suleymanov and Nadir Valiyev were warned by the prosecutor's action.

"The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan states that in order to create artificial agitation, more serious measures will be taken in accordance with the law, including criminal liability for media and social network users who spread false and inaccurate information," the press service said.
