Nikol Pashinyan is a pro-Western politician. He would like Armenia to use Russia, but to move to the West.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Sergei Markov, a Russian political scientist and director of the Center for Political Studies.

The expert noted that the Armenian Prime Minister hopes for help from Russia, as he thinks that Moscow does not provide enough assistance to Yerevan: “This leads to anti-Russian demonstrations in Armenia. Pashinyan is blackmailing other organizations by appealing to France, the OSCE, NATO, the United States and others for help.

The political scientist stressed that the European Union and France are trying to take the initiative in the Karabakh issue from Russia: "Pashinyan is trying to use it as a tool of blackmail against Russia, so he wants to meet with President Aliyev in Brussels on December 15."

According to Markov, this caused strong dissatisfaction in Russia, as Pashinyan did not want to meet on November 9 through the mediation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, but wanted to meet through the mediation of the European Union. meets with leaders in Sochi, but this meeting is mandatory for him. He is trying to cool Russia's anger.

The Russian expert said that the signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia requires official Yerevan to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan at the diplomatic level.
