Today, I would say, these issues were discussed in great detail. We openly discussed our plans and issues of concern to both sides. Most importantly, the decisions we have taken to resolve disputes and disagreements, I think, will make the situation in the South Caucasus safer and more predictable.
The statement came from President Ilham Aliyev in a statement following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Sochi.
The head of state said that Azerbaijan intends to enter a normal phase of interaction with Armenia.
"We also see Armenia's intention to create conditions for the situation in the region to be more predictable. I have said many times that we in Azerbaijan are determined to turn the page of the long-term confrontation with Armenia, to start a normal phase of interaction, and I think that in this format we will achieve our goals."
