Azerbaijan's strategy is to have peace in the region. The President of Azerbaijan demands that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries be mutually recognized.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Aide to the President Hikmet Hajiyev at the Partnership Forum "Peace for Culture".

He said it was important to establish a lasting peace.

An aide to the President noted that during the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, the cultural heritage of those places was destroyed:

"We invite UNESCO to take steps against the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories."

Hikmet Hajiyev said that it is important to establish lasting peace and security in the South Caucasus.
