A Belarussian youth day has today kicked off in Azerbaijan.

The event participants visited the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Martyrs to pay tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev and the Azerbaijani martyrs. They then visited the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev briefed the delegation on the country`s youth policy, state programs and projects in the field of youth affairs.

The Belarussian young people start their visit to the city of Shamkir later today.

The program will feature an exhibition of works of both countries' young people and a concert program.

A round table will also be held in order to discuss the establishment of closer ties between the two countries' young people and the implementation of new projects.

On July 9, the visitors will tour the capital city Baku and hold a meeting at the Youth Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
