Azerbaijan Army soldier Babek Asgar oghlu Aliyev, who died as a result of the explosion of a mine buried by Armenians in the newly controlled territory of Kalbajar, was given the status of a martyr.

Axar.az reports with reference to Report.az that according to the legislation, B. Aliyev received the status of a martyr.

It should be noted that the military serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army, B. Aliyev, died as a result of the explosion of a mine buried by Armenians in the newly controlled area in the east of the Kalbajar region on August 5.

A criminal case has been initiated and an investigation is underway.
