At the invitation of Italian Navy Commander Admiral Enrico Credendino, Azerbaijan Navy Commander Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov paid an official visit to Italy to participate in the 13th Trans-Regional Naval Power Symposium held in Venice.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense.

The main goal of the event, which was held with the participation of the commanders of the naval forces of 44 countries and representatives of 18 important maritime organizations, is to hold discussions on ensuring safety in maritime transport.

The international symposium will continue until October 7.
