I thank the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for approving tax exemption for rice imports from Pakistan for a period of 5 years.

Axar.az reports that Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif wrote this on Twitter.

"The two brotherly countries will try to develop economic cooperation and connectivity through road, railway and Gwadar port," the head of government said.

It should be noted that the government of Azerbaijan exempted the import of rice from Pakistan from customs duty until December 31, 2027. In this regard, changes have been made in the "goods nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, rates of import customs duties and rates of export customs duties".
