Guterres strongly condemned the terrorist act

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned the terrorist act in the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran.

Axar.az informs that UN spokesman Stefan Dujarric said this in his statement.

"First of all, we offer our condolences to the family of the killed soldier and the people of Azerbaijan. We are pleased to see that the Iranian authorities are investigating immediately and moving swiftly in this direction. We would like to inform that the attack on the diplomatic mission is also a clear violation of international law," the spokesman added.

It should be recalled that on January 27, at around 8:30 am Baku time, there was a terrorist attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran. The person who perpetrated the terror attacked the security post with a Kalashnikov automatic weapon and killed the head of the security service, Orkhan Asgarov. Two security guards of the embassy were also injured while preventing the attack. The condition of the injured is satisfactory.
