The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy condemned the armed attack against the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry's Twitter account stated:

"We express our solidarity for the cowardly attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran. We offer our condolences to the family of the deceased and wish for the speedy recovery of the injured."

It should be noted that there was a terrorist attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran in the morning of January 27. A person armed with a machine gun entered the embassy building and killed the head of the security service, Orkhan Asgarov, and injured two employees.
