We had very good discussions with the President of Romania on the wide-ranging issues of our bilateral agenda and reaffirmed the strategic importance of our relations. As strategic partners, we are moving forward.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev expressed these views in his speech at a meeting with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on February 2.

Saying that he has good memories of his visit to Bucharest, the head of state said:

"The document signed in Bucharest really opens up new perspectives for us."
