This monument erected in the center of our city is a sign of the respect of the Azerbaijani people to the memory of the great composer Tofig Guliyev. Indeed, Tofig Guliyev's works made a revolution in the cultural world of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed these views in his speech at the opening ceremony of the monument of the outstanding composer Tofig Guliyev on February 8.

The head of our state noted that Tofig Guliyev can be called both an outstanding composer and the founder of jazz art in Azerbaijan. At the same time, the great cultural figure Tofig Guliyev won the love of the Azerbaijani people.
