President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog and his first lady Michal Herzog, who are on a visit to the country, got acquainted with the Old City, which is considered one of the world's cultural heritage monuments, on May 31.
Axar.az informs that the guests started their tour by getting to know the Shirvanshahs Palace Complex, a masterpiece of medieval Eastern architecture, a world-important historical-architectural monument.
It was reported that the buildings of the historical monument built at the beginning of the 15th century are located on the highest point of one of the hills of the Old City. It is clearly visible from the Caspian Sea and the heights around the city. The complex retains its historical-architectural advantage to this day.
