Opening new TV channel - NTRC

Azerbaijan has enough TV and radio broadcasters, so the National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) is not planning to launch a competition for opening a new TV channel in the near future, Head of the NTRC Administration Toghrul Mammadov said in a statement to APA.

He added that Azerbaijan currently has 23 TV broadcasters, of which 10 are republic wide and 13 regional.


“There are a total of 74 licensed TV and radio broadcasters in Azerbaijan,” he said.
