The next migration caravan was sent from Masazir village of Absheron district to the reconstructed village of Agali in Zangilan district.
Axar.az reports that 25 families - 127 people - who have temporarily settled in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, and Absheron region, will start living in their homeland from now on. They are residents of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Agali villages, which were completely destroyed by the Armenians during the occupation.
The residents of Agalı expressed their gratitude to President, Commander-in-Chief Muzaffar Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, to the brave Azerbaijani Army that saved our lands from occupation, and to our heroic soldiers and officers for being surrounded by comprehensive state care.
The distribution of houses was carried out by lottery based on the currently valid rules for providing new residential areas to internally displaced persons, based on the principles of transparency and fairness. The lottery was held on October 20 in the Repatriation Department of the State Committee.
The departure ceremony was attended by representatives of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, Zangilan District Executive Power and other officials.
With this, the number of families permanently settled in Agali village will reach 175 (871 people). Resettlement will continue.
