Erdogan spoke with Mahmoud Abbas

A telephone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Axar.az reports that Fakhreddin Altun, the head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of Turkiye, said this in a statement to "TRT Haber".

"Mr. Erdogan told M. Abbas that no matter what happens, they will continue to stand firm against Israel's attacks on Gaza. Israel will pay for this oppression.

At the same time, the Turkish president emphasized that all means should be mobilized for a ceasefire, including the decision of the UN Security Council. It is necessary to fight against Israel firmly and in unity", F. Altun said.
