The joint declaration on the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, which I signed today in Baku with President Ilham Aliyev, is an expression of the important potential for the deepening of our relations.

Axar.az reports that the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, wrote this on his Facebook account.

"Intensive dialogue at a high political level contributes not only to bilateral cooperation, but also to the strengthening of Europe's energy security, the stability and economic development of the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region," he said.

According to the Bulgarian leader, both countries are interested in the development of relations between Europe and Asia using their strategic advantages.

R. Radev also noted that Azerbaijan has become Bulgaria's main partner in the field of energy and made an important contribution to the diversification of natural gas supplies to Bulgaria.
