As part of preparations for the COP29 conference of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will be held in Baku on November 11-22 this year, the government of Azerbaijan is taking several steps to ensure the comfort of numerous officials, delegations and other guests who will visit our country.
Axar.az informs that to simplify the visa application process of the COP29 participants and provide them with a convenient and efficient visit to Baku, a corresponding portal for obtaining a COP29 special visa has been put into use.
In cooperation with the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a special visa application module related to COP29 of the "ASAN Visa" portal was created at www.evisa.gov.az/cop29. Considering that tens of thousands of participants from nearly 200 countries will attend COP29, the portal operates in English, German, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, and Korean. The portal offers 24/7 support and a fully electronic, paperless visa process.
It should be noted that officials, delegations, and other guests who wish to obtain a special COP29 visa through the www.evisa.gov.az/cop29 portal must first register through the online registration system of the UNFCCC. A COP29 special visa can be obtained free of charge within 3 working days of the completion of application forms.
It is possible to get acquainted with the rules for obtaining a COP29 special visa through an electronic guide and an informative video.
