Airspace closure forces emergency landings in Baku

Due to the temporary closure of the airspace over Iran, a number of international airlines applied to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport with an emergency landing request.

Axar.az was told from Baku airport that Boeing 787 of "LOT Polish Airlines" airline company, operating Warsaw-Mumbai flight, successfully landed at Baku airport at 21:47 local time.

For the same reason, the captain of the "Boeing 787" plane flying the Moscow-Doha flight belonging to the "Qatar Airways" airline sent a request for a forced landing at the Baku airport. The aircraft landed successfully at 21:53.

It should be noted that Heydar Aliyev International Airport has the ability to receive any aircraft, including large aircraft such as "Airbus A-380". The airport operates non-stop, promptly responds to airline requests and provides all the necessary services for the safe execution of flights. In all emergency situations, the airport's services are coordinated to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
